Reeve's Tees donates a portion of all proceeds to organizations that help improve the lives of those with Down syndrome. The following is a list of organizations to which our some of our proceeds have been donated in the past. In addition, we try to work with local Down syndrome organizations who wish to use our shirts to help raise money (Please note that our shirt designs and sayings are trademark and copyright protected, and you must receive our written permission to resell or distribute them). Global Down Syndrome Foundation
The Global Down Syndrome Foundation is a public non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to significantly improving the lives of people with Down syndrome through Research, Medical Care, Education and Advocacy. Formally established in 2009, Global’s primary focus is to support the Linda Crnic Institute for Down Syndrome, the first academic home in the United States committed solely to research and medical care for people with Down syndrome. Since Down syndrome is the least-funded genetic condition in the United States, fundraising and government advocacy to correct the alarming disparity of national funding for people with Down syndrome is a major goal.
The LuMind Research Down Syndrome Foundation
The mission of the LuMind Foundation is to stimulate biomedical research that will accelerate the development of treatments to significantly improve cognition, including memory, learning and speech, for individuals with Down syndrome so they:
• participate more successfully in school
• lead more active and independent lives, and
• avoid the early onset of Alzheimer's Disease.
National Down Syndrome Society
The mission of the National Down Syndrome Society is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The National Down Syndrome Society envisions a world in which all people with Down syndrome have the opportunity to enhance their quality of life, realize their life aspirations and become valued members of welcoming communities.
BuddyUp Tennis
Buddy Up Tennis is a weekly, high-energy 90-minute program focused on adaptive tennis, fitness, and fun for children and adults with Down Syndrome. There are 12 locations in eight states and they are growing rapidly. EVERYONE WITH DOWN SYNDROME IS WELCOME: no prior tennis or fitness experience is required.
Then Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association (MVDSA)
The Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association (MVDSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1977. Their mission is to provide information, support, and resources to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and their communities. The Miami Valley Down Syndrome Association (MVDSA) serves the Miami Valley of Ohio, including the following 11 counties: Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby.
The Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN)
The Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN) supports families with current information and real-life accounts of life with Down syndrome during the prenatal to early childhood phases. DSDN is committed to facilitating unbiased, family-centered discussion of Down syndrome within the medical community. We strive to cultivate a culture of acceptance and inclusion for people with Down syndrome at all stages of life.
Reece's Rainbow
The mission of Reece’s Rainbow is to advocate and find families for orphans with Down syndrome and other special needs by raising funds for adoption grants and promoting awareness through an online community, media communications, and other events.
Skyler's Smile Baskets
We make and deliver Skyler's smile baskets to families who have a baby born/adopted with Down syndrome and those who are in the hospital recovering from medical complications who also have Down syndrome. Our goal is to celebrate every child and congratulate every mom and dad. Our local area we serve is Kentucky and Indiana, we also ship these to surrounding states via UPS delivery.
Gigi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers
Gigi’s Playhouse is the only worldwide network of down syndrome achievement centers; changing lives through free, results-driven programs for individuals of all ages, their families and communities. In helping individuals with Down syndrome achieve their best of all, we also advance our larger vision of global acceptance for people of all abilities.
Hearts 2 Honduras Love and Learn 21 Program
This program is designed to provide educational opportunities for people with Down syndrome in Honduras. Teachers and assistants will partner with participants and their families to create individualized plans in an effort to meet the needs of each student. Students will receive instruction 2-3 days a week at our learning center in El Progreso. The goal of this program is to provide opportunities for people with Down syndrome to grow, learn, and become more involved in their communities. This is the first program of its kind in Honduras and will be the first educational experience many of these students have received.
Ruby's Rainbow
Our mission at Ruby’s Rainbow is to grant scholarships to adults with Down syndrome who are seeking post-secondary education, enrichment or vocational classes. It is our goal to create awareness of the capabilities of these amazing individuals and help them achieve their dreams of higher education. We not only grant scholarships; we also love keeping track of Ruby’s Rockin’ Recipients throughout their educational programs and beyond. Heart Heroes
Our mission is to provide support to children and families affected by Congenital Heart Defects (CHD) through the distribution of superhero capes, programs to offer hope and funding for CHD research.
Camp PALS
Our mission is to create immersive experiences where individuals with Down syndrome and their peers have fun, grow as individuals, and build transformative friendships. PALS fosters close connections and a sense of belonging, built around quality, accepting and caring people. Together, we create the best place on earth and a family away from home. We are welcoming, genuine, passionate, supportive and fun.
